人類在傷心、害怕、恐懼的時候，會流下眼淚，動物又何嘗不是呢？香港有隻牛在接近屠宰場門口時，突然停止不前，前腳跪地，眼淚便開始撲簌簌地流下，像是在苦苦哀求，別殺牠。

香港有位屠夫Shiu Tat-Nin回憶當時情況，看到牛一直流淚，並用充滿恐懼和哀傷的眼神看著他時，他忍不住發抖，趕忙叫其他人來看，他們也被震撼到，不斷拉著那隻牛，而他卻連動都不動，只是坐在那裡一直哭泣。

屠夫們彼此環顧，他們心裡清楚，已經沒有人可以忍心殺害牠，於是他們決定一起出錢買下這隻牛，並把牠送給有愛心的出家人，讓牛可以安然度過餘生。

當屠夫們下定決心，並向牛保證絕不殺牠後，牛才肯移動，緊緊跟在他們身後，或許有很多人覺得很不可思議，但這是生命即將流逝前的哀戚，希望這隻牛可以不再任人宰割了。
